Christoph Pöschko

Lighting designer Christoph Pöschko has been closely associated with the theatre since 2002: first as a trainee in event technology at the Theatre Heilbronn and later at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where he currently serves as Deputy Head of the Lighting Department.

He has worked on numerous productions across opera, ballet, drama and musical theatre, collaborating with directors such as Anna Bergmann, Lily Sykes, Axel Köhler and Lars Wernecke. In addition, he has created lighting designs for internationally renowned artists including Tom Gaebel, Max Mutzke, Bryan Adams and others in live sessions.

Since 2014, he has been working as a lighting designer at the Frankenfestspiele in Röttingen, Bavaria. Furthermore, since 2010 he has been a member of the examination board for the vocational qualification “Event Technology Specialist” at the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Most recently, he designed the lighting in Karlsruhe for productions such as Woyzeck, The Merry Widow, Faust and Tales from the Vienna Woods.

Christoph Pöschko is a recipient of the Bayrische Heimatpreis.
