GALA-DINNER
At the Margravine’s Table
When Margravine Wilhelmine arrived in Bayreuth in 1732, she was little impressed by the situation she found there, and least of all by the “dire cuisine” set before her. In the following years Bayreuth advanced under her guidance to become a most distinguished princely residence, with magnificent feasts and banquets and correspondingly opulent dining culture.
You, too, have the opportunity to dine like royalty in Baroque manner: to round off the thrilling opera performance of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in the Margravial Opera House with a grand gastronomic finale, you can reserve a table for 13 September at 10pm for a gourmet gala dinner at Schloss Colmdorf.
Shuttle included: Departure at approx. 09.40 p.m. (we guarantee reaching the shuttle for visitors of the event taking place before).
Wölfelstr. 4 at the Iwalewahaus (approx. 50 metres from the Opera House)
Return at midnight and 1 a.m. to Wölfelstr. 4
