Franko Klisović is born in Šibenik, where he finished his elementary and higher musical education at the Ivan Lukačić Music School in the class of Gordana Pavić, department of piano and musical theory. Whilst living in his hometown he also worked as the organist at the Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik. After graduating from high school he enrols at the Music Academy in Zagreb, where he studies conducting in the class of Tomislav Fačini and where he had his conducting debut in March 2019 conducting the performance of Mozart’s Così fan tutte. In academic operatic and concert projects of the Music Academy in Zagreb he participates in the work of the Symphonic Orchestra, the Choir and Chamber Choir of the academy as assistant conductor, accompanist and also as a soloist.

At the end of 2015 he starts his vocal studies and after only few months gets the part of Ottone in Händel’s Agrippinawith which he debuts in April 2016 at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb. Not long after that, alongside his conducting studies, he enrols to study singing in the class of Martina Gojčeta Silić. In February 2017, being called by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, he performed in Doha at the Katara Opera House. In the 2017/18 season he had his debut at the Croatian National Theater in Rijeka, Croatia, in the role of the Spirit in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. In 2018 he performs in the arena of Pula, Croatia, with the orchestra of the opera of Rijeka and alongside the renowned soprano Sumi Jo as the Swan in Orff’s Carmina Burana.

Since 2015/16 he performs regularly with the Antiphonus vocal ensemble under the artistic leadership of Tomislav Fačini and with the Croatian Radiotelevision Choir and works also with the Croatian Baroque Ensemble (HRBA). He performs regularly at the productions of singers at the Zagreb Music Academy, the concerts in honor of Milka Trnina and the projects for the Passion heritage, Varaždin Baroque Evenings, Osor Musical Evenings, Korkyra Baroque Festival.
