Johanna Rosa Falkinger

Johanna Rosa Falkinger is a versatile Austrian soprano. She finished her Bachelor studies in singing, piano and choir conducting at ABPU Linz with Christa Ratzenböck and at Sibelius Academy Helsinki. Her interest for early music approached at masterclasses with Emma Kirkby, Ulrike Hofbauer and Tuuli Lindeberg. Currently, she is in the master studies for early music singing at “MUK” Vienna with Roberta Invernizzi and for voice pedagogy at “mdw” with Tanya Aspelmeier. Projects at Burgtheater Vienna (Die Zauberflöte), Donaufestwochen Strudengau (Stradella’s Moro per Amore), Tage Alter Musik Herne (Bernasconi’s L’Huomo), WDR3 Köln, Wiener Konzerthaus and Brucknerhaus Linz. Cooperation with the Baroque Orchestra L’Orfeo, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, Enrico Onofri, Dorothee Oberlinger, Johannes Hiemetsberger and the vocalgroup “company of music”. 2021 she won the 2nd price at Concours Corneille (FR) held by Le Poeme Harmonique and Vincent Dumestre as well as the WDR-price at the international H.I.F. Biber Competition in St. Florian with the ensemble Freymut. 2022 she was declared as winner at the early music vocal competition “Aria Borealis” in Bodø (Norway).
