Loris Barrucand is a native of Savoy and completed his studies in harpsichord and basso continuo at the Paris Conservatoire. During his studies he was taught by such renowned musicians as Olivier Baumont, Blandine Rannou, Christophe Rousset, Stéphane Fuget, Bertrand Cuiller, Françoise Lengellé, et al. After completing his diploma. Loris Barrucand soon had the opportunity to work with the best ensembles for Early Music in France, He thus plays concerts with ensembles such as Les Talens Lyriques, La Rêveuse, Correspondances, Les Cris de Paris, Les Siècles, La Tempête, A nocte temporis, Harmonia Sacra and Desmarest. He is furthermore a founding member of the brass ensemble Sarbacanes and the vocal ensemble Cosmos. In February 2018 he was vocal director with Christophe Rousset at the Opéra Comique, and In 2019 Vincent Dumestre’s assistant during performances of Sebastián Durón’s Coronis. His concert activities have taken him through the whole of France, also to Luxembourg, Berlin and Brussels.
