Experience Bayreuth Baroque Online!

The premiere of Max Emanuel Cencic’s production of Porpora’s Ifigenia in Aulide on September 5 was a resounding success. “Captivating and thrilling,” some said, while others cheered it as “imaginative, creative, and innovative.”

The highly demanding vocal and dramatic roles were masterfully handled by the ensemble, including Jasmina Delfs (Ifigenia) and Maayan Licht (Achille), in a breathtaking performance. The singers, alongside this year’s orchestra in residence Les Talens Lyriques under the direction of Baroque expert Christophe Rousset, set new standards in the interpretation of Baroque opera seria.

The successful production will be performed two more times on September 13 and 15 at the Margravial Opera House and will be available to stream live on BR Klassik and Arte Concert on Sunday, September 15, at 6:00 PM.
