Sophie Lamberbourg was born in 1986 in Grenoble (France). In 2006 she received her diploma in violoncello at the conservatory of her hometown. In 2010, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Music from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with the speciality “Violoncello in old scale”. In 2012, she completed her Master’s degree. Sophie Lamberbourg has participated in many musical projects as well as with various orchestras such as Le Concert Spirituel by Hervé Niquet, La Cetra Barockorchester Basel and as soloist and continuo player in the ensemble Il Profondo and other chamber ensembles. She performs all over the world.
