Brunch
With an introduction to the opera Floridante by our dramaturge Dr. David Treffinger
When Margravine Wilhelmine came to Bayreuth in January 1732, she wasn’t very pleased with the state of affairs she found here – least of all the “awful food” placed before her. In the following years, Bayreuth advanced under her aegis to become a superlative princely residence, with resplendent festivities and correspondingly opulent banquets and feasting.
And so we are offering you the opportunity as well to dine royally in Baroque fashion. To complemente a thrilling opera performance in the Margravial Opera House with an equally superb gastronomic experience, on 6 September you can book an exquisite brunch in the Orangery of the Hermitage.
