Brunch
with introduction to Pompeo Magno
When Margravine Wilhelmine came to Bayreuth in 1732, she was not very impressed with the circumstances she encountered – least of all by the “awful food” placed before her. In the subsequent years Bayreuth advanced under her guidance to become a superlative princely residence boasting resplendent celebrations and correspondingly opulent feasting at table.
We invite you as well to the opportunity of dining in a Baroque manner fit for royalty. On Sunday 14 September you can reserve an opulent brunch in the Orangery of the Hermitage, accompanied by an introduction to the last performance of Francesco Cavalli’s Pompeo Magno.
