The Italian alto Chiara Brunello, after architecture, graduated at the Conservatory of Rovigo and in baroque singing at the Conservatory of Venice. Her versatility has led her to face very different roles among them Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) at the Teatro Sociale di Como, Maddalena (Rigoletto) at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese, Flora (La traviata) at the Teatro Comunale di Treviso and at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Suzuki (Madama Butterfly) at the Teatro del Giglio di Lucca, Paoluccia (La buona figliuola) at the Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo, Giacinta (Le serve rivali) at the Opéra de Chambre de Genève, in The Fairy Queen at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Leonora (Le astuzie femminili) and Teresa (La sonnambula) at the Teatro Comunale Dal Monaco Treviso, Silvano (Amare e fingere) at the Tage Alter Musik Herne, Nutrice/Familiare (L’incoronazione di Poppea) at the Theater Kiel, Romilda (Romilda e Costanza) at the Festival Rossini in Bad Wildbad, Tamiri (Farnace) at the Teatro Abbado di Ferrara and the Teatro Municipale Piacenza, Aristeo (in Porporas Orfeo) at the Teatro Nazionale di Zagabria, Fulvio (Catone in Utica) at the Teatro Abbado in Ferrara and Argene (Olimpiade) at the Beaune Festival.

In the field of concerts she also performed in La fabbrica illuminata at La Fenice), Berio’s Folk Songs, Ravel’s Trois chansons madécasses, Mozart’s Requiem, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Dixit Dominus and Magnificat in Ferrara, Beatus Vir, Nisi Dominus, Bach’s Magnificat, Cantatas BWV 12 and 54, Saint-Säens’s Oratorio de Noëland Grandezza in Santa Editta at the Festival Pergolesi Spontini.

She has recorded for the label Arcana Stradella’s Amare e fingere (Silvano) and for Tactus Musiche per il triduo by Giambattista Martini.
